Briefly Reviewed – David Fincher’s ‘The Killer’

The first time I saw the film, I liked it — especially the long setup to the first “kill”, and the extraordinary sequence with Tilda Swinton. The second time I saw the film, I loved it from start to finish. The precision of filmmaking — even the glide between two cars at a traffic light — is a marvel. If I were handing out Oscars, this would be my pick for Best Director, Best Supporting Actress (Swinton), Best Film, and Best Actor for Michael Fassbender, who delivers the most amazing physical and internal performance of the year.
