This year’s National Awards are kinda disappointing for Tamil Cinema as only Kadaisi Vivasaayi and Iravin Nizhal bag awards for best Tamil movie , a special mention award and for best female playback singer respectively.

Madhavan’s Rocketry won the Best Feature Film award.

RRR has won the best popular film providing wholesome entertainment.

Alia as expected won the best actress for Gangubai and an odd choice for best actor as Allu Arjun of all people won the award for Pushpa.

Thought Rahman would win the award for best music composer because of the rollicking run he had last year but DSP bags it for Pushpa.

Nayattu won the best screenplay award and another surprise as Uppena bags the best Telugu movie award.

” Billa ” Vishnuvardhan wins the Special Jury award for Shershaah.

Kashmir Files wins the Best Film on National Integration , a very interesting pick.
