Shannen Doherty dies…

As acting goes, Shannen Doherty will not be remembered as a giant. But that is not the only reason we remember actors. For an entire generation of English-speaking Indians raised on Doordarshan, liberalisation and the opening-up of media was represented by Star World and other such channels, and Beverly Hills 90210 was one of the shows that “showed” us pop culture (as opposed to just films) from the world beyond. Hence this remembrance. Wikipedia tells me she had a tough battle with cancer. Peace!
